Fishing and Swimming

St. Marys is a hidden gem for leisurely fishing. The town is located at the junction of the north branch of the Thames River and Tout Creek. The waters are home to a variety of different fish species including bass and yellow perch. If you don't have any gear but want to try your hand at fishing, fishing poles and tackle are available through the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) TackleShare program at the St. Marys Public Library.

The Fishing Quarry

Anglers, rejoice! Across Water Street from world-famous swimming quarry is the fishing quarry, a quiet place to fish between dawn and dusk. Please note that swimming and water craft are not allowed at this secluded spot. Parking and quarry access are available at the north end of the tennis courts.

Wildwood Conservation Area

Just a short distance away from St. Marys is the Wildwood Conservation Area. They offer boat launching and docking at the Wildwood Reservoir.

The St. Marys Quarry

Visit Ontario's largest outdoor swimming hole! If you are looking to enjoy some sunshine and cool off on those hot summer days, the St. Marys Quarry is a "must-do"!  The Quarry offers daily admissions, swimming lessons and outdoor activities the whole family can enjoy.

The Aquatics Centre

Looking for some indoor water fun? Visit the Aquatics Centre located at the Pyramid Recreation Centre. The Aquatics Centre offers lane swims, swimming lessons, family swim and Aquafit for all ages and activity levels. It's a guaranteed way to ensure you can still have some water fun, even if you're visiting St. Marys on a cool or rainy day.
